This study optimizes the morphology of Voxel-based Soft Robots (VSR) using evolutionary algorithms within the 2D simulation environment EvoGYM, aiming to enhance their general adaptability across diverse terrains. By introducing the Island Model, the research effectively addresses the limitation of local optima in traditional algorithms and improves population diversity during the evolutionary process.
